The digital frontier known as the Overnet beckoned with its alluring mysteries when the enigmatic genius Cybermask stumbled upon a portal to this new dimension.

The energy readings inside were off the charts. He then realized this once-in-a-lifetime discovery promised infinite possibilities of reshaping reality, and soon, he proceeded to create the Zero Opacity Institute, an organization in charge of monitoring all OverKnight activities inside the OverNet.

The energy that powers the Overnet, known as Quantum Bits (Q-Bit), exists outside the human-perceivable energy spectrum and can both power and transmit information. This type of energy is usually unreachable by humans, and contact with its overwhelming power destroys the integrity of their material body. It can also improve technology performance without altering hardware and renders other energy sources obsolete.

The only human known to have survived this energy overload without losing themselves is Cybermask.

To interact with Q-Bits, humans need to connect through a M.I.N.D. (Multi-Interface Neural Device) that functions to transfer their consciousness to the OverNet, where it appears in the form of an OverKnight, an avatar made of data.

In the game, the M.I.N.D. is represented by a collection of cards that the OverKnight brings into battle, comprised initially of 40 cards between actions, reactions, and artifacts. Players have the agency to create their own cards by combining an extensive library of effects, costs, and conditions.

Each player can customize their OverKnight abilities, represented by body parts and colors, to match their gameplay style. There are three ability types: Active, Passive, and Overdrive.

When Overknights are defeated in battle, the M.I.N.D. sends their consciousness back to their real-life body before it gets integrated with the Overnet and becomes an ethereal entity.
