About the Game
On behalf of the Heartsville Homeowner’s Association, we would like to extend our warmest greetings to you, our newest Neighbor! As you get settled into your beautiful home, we trust that you appreciate the neighborhood’s goal of maintaining a high standard of presentability, maintenance and good conduct from residents.

Like you, the residents of Heartsville are committed to upholding our outlined standards, reveling in the competition the JUST PERFECT award provides. To better acquaint you with practices and behaviors the HOA encourages and discourages, please consult our guidelines below.

It takes hard work to keep your home spotless! Consider obtaining an assortment of cleaning supplies and tools as you get started; to ensure your property is the spitting image of the home as advertised, we suggest a rigorous maintenance schedule, including the following:
- Keeping your home clean (sweeping dust, mopping away muddy spots, throwing away trash or debris)
- Repairing mechanical fixtures (appliances, cars, windows, mailboxes)
- Organizing, collecting and storing loose materials (such as nails, planks, glue, etc.)

You may also add internal and external improvements to your home, provided they maintain the standards of cleanliness and good order expected from our residents. Examples include:
- Room redecorations (wallpaper, new appliances, decor)
- External structures (sheds, chicken coops, home improvement projects)

As a homeowner, it is equally important to ensure that your home is secure and that your valuables are stored in safe locations. While we understand that homeowners may have a desire to be more vigilant with regards to securing their home, USE OR IMPLEMENTATION OF DEFENSIVE MEASURES IS PROHIBITED. Examples of these prohibited measures include:
- Spring traps
- Bear traps
- Affixed strings of cans (while this measure is not harmful, it is unsightly and therefore discouraged)
We advice that you consider
Pets to be obtained as an alternative safety measure (please speak with a HOA representative for further details on pet/breed restrictions)

Additionally, if you find unauthorized items on your property, we ask that you dispose of them or store them in the appropriate areas around your home.

Vandalism is a serious offense to the Heartsville HOA, and we believe those that perpetrate vandalism are to be regarded as menaces to society. PLEASE REPORT ANY RELATED BEHAVIOR TO THE HEARTSVILLE HOA, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
- Throwing eggs, mud or other dietary products
- Removal of items from a home
- Destruction of property, including home improvements or fixtures
- Harassment, intimidation or attempted harm of Heartsville residents and guests
We know our residents themselves would never engage in the aforementioned egregious behaviors, and we appreciate your diligence in raising these matters to the HOA as they are observed and recorded.
Again, we thank you for choosing Heartsville as your new home, and we look forward to your endeavors in making your home just perfect!
